Path maker, there is no path, you make the path by walking. By walking you make the path. – Antonio Machado
I came across a mushroom growing out of the moss which had grown into the space between the boards of an everyday picnic bench. It was very, very small. Later that evening it rained for a long time. The next day I went back to the bench to check on the mushroom. It was gone.
I wish I saw the moss between the cracks as the solid ground on which I long to stand.

What if I could only see the green, velvety well-spring of possibility holding up my own smallness, feeding it and urging it to grow, grow, grow?
The rain is coming. Always.
There was a small mushroom on a picnic bench, growing out of the moss in the space between the wood.
